Vegas hotel to showcase blackjack tour -'Nov 23 2006'
The Ultimate Blackjack Tour (UBT) is on its way to the neon lights of Las Vegas, with a prominent Vegas hotel ready to host a UBT event for the first time.
It has been announced that The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino will host a UBT event from November 24th-26th, marking it the first time in history that a UBT event will take place in Las Vegas.
"'It's great to partner with a world-class casino such as The Venetian to give UBT's Elimination Blackjack tournaments a home on Las Vegas Boulevard," UBT founder Russ Hamilton told Online Casino News.
"UBT has enjoyed a meteoric rise in the gaming world, and we know our new relationship with The Venetian will be a win-win for everyone involved."
Dubbed the Venetian Invitational, the event features a $100,000 prize pool. The overall winner will win a buy-in worth $10,000 for the UBT's end of year Tournament of Champions, which has a guaranteed first prize of $1 million.
It has been reported that UBT will introduce a tournament to the Las Vegas Palms Casino Resort in April 2007.
